Deadly Measles Epidemic of 1908

Following our co-authored article published in the Eastern Door on September 3, 2026, this research explores a deadly measles epidemic that resulted in the deaths of 80+ children from Kahnawà:ke in 1908

On September 16, 2026, we held an open community presentation to provide Kahnawa’kehró:non the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the impact of the epidemic on the community. Slides from the presentation are available below.

Our next step is to draft academic articles for publication.
